WILL TO CONQUER.
SALVATION OF WORLD. LONDON, June 6. The risk which Europe and the rest of the world must was that as a result of the operations on the Western Front, if they succeeded, men who were not Germans would have to play only the role of slaves, stated the French Premier (M. Reynaud) in his broadcast. The new world announced by Hitler in his proclamation might begin perhaps by trickery, said M. Re*ynaud, but he envisaged this being followed by bullying blows for the workers, and the moral and physical destruction of the elite. ; German-controlled Europe, he said, was going to disappear because .of Allied resistance. , The France that was standing up against. Hitler to-day was not that France between the period of the last war and the present one. It was another • France, just as that Britain which was fighting Hitler was not the Britain of the last 20 years. . The members of the Government were animated by a common will, to conquer. Democracy had 'long lacked foresight and audacity, but now the eyes of the French people were open. v • —; —. —-. ■ —r-^ = . ■:,j
