GENEROUS GIFTS.
Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 6. Further interest free loans and donations received by the Government have brought the total to- £1,964,3/4. The following loans have been received for the duration and six months .thereafter : Mr and Mrs J. J. McGrath and family (Wellington), ,£2000; L. M. Pattullo (Napier),; £IOOO. Ponsford, Newman, and Benson N.Z., Ltd. (Wellington), £IOOO. Donations include: “Anonymous’ (Christchurch), £1285; New Zealand Rugby Union (Wellington), £IOOO.
Others include: Miss M. A. Duncan, Waimanui, duration and six months, £soo° Dr H: Angell. Gisborne, duration and six months, '£2oo.
