He had many friends in Otaki, whore he trained various horses. Mr Neich was 62 yeais of age and had not enjoyed good health for some time. Not many runners had been produced by his stable in recent years, and the only horses trained there during the present season have boon Kurrnwong, Cheerful Lady and Greatlord. Mr Neich is survived by his widow, a daughter (Miss V. Neich)- and a son (Mr George Neich). An elder son, Gregory, met his death while exercising a horse on the Alarton track some years ago.
