Abraham and Williams v Ltd,, report on the Xaihape sale: —-We ouered some 2000 odd sheep at tho fixture, ill the main. coiil-, pricing wether hoggets with several pens of good mixed age owes r.w. S.l). ram. The salo from the outset can be termed a keen one, the buying power being in evidence from the King Country, Itnngitikei, Manawatu and Taranaki districts. It is quite evident that good lines of both owe and wether lioggets are in particularly short supply, no doubt due lo the exceptionally good fattening season experienced throughout our territory. Quotations:—Account Mr .A. Farr, Utiku, 133 2-th. ewes r.w. S.D. ram, 35s Id; 156 4, 6 and 4-yr. owes, r.w. S.D. ram, 26s Id; Mr A. K. Overton, 180 wether lambs* 17s; Collier Estate, 590 wether lambs, 16s 2d; Mr P. O’Kocfe.,Utiku, 90 wether lambs, 14s 6d; Mr R. W. Smith, Tailiape, 80 fat wethers, 25s 4d, 66 forward wethers 24s Id. Other quotations: Medium wether iambs, 12s, 13s 6d; ewe lambs, medium, 17s, 19s'9d ; small tail-end wether lambs, Bs, 9s, 11s 6d.
