HITLER’S BOASTS.
CELEBRATIONS IN REICH. ; EXTRAVAGANT CLAIMS. LONDON, June 5. A Berlin message says Hitler lias ordered bellringing and beflagging of towns in celebration for the victory in the Low Countries, and also lias- conveyed “thanks to the army for winning the greatest battle in the world’s, history and carrying out the most daring plan in the history of wai'.” He added: “From to-day the Western Front returns to action The battle will be carried on. lo the annihilation of the enemy’s po.ver in Paris and London.”' The bcllringing has been ordered for three days throughout the country and- the beflagging for a week. Hitler’s proclamation to the people repeats the claim that the B.E.F. for the most part has been annihilated and the rest taken prisoner or chased from the Continem. Three, French armies have ceased to exist. The danger of invasion of the Ruhr has been removed. > The proclamation to the troops says: “Dunkirk has fallen and 40.000 British and French troops have been taken prisoner, while . immense stocks of material have been seized “In a few weeks France s best divisions have been destroyed and the BE F defeated.
