MILSON.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) ’ MILSON, June 6. At the monthly meeting of the -Milcon Women’s Institute it was stated that the institute is collecting clothing for the refugees, and any clothing fit for renovating would be gratefully accepted. The Glee Club rendered several numbers. An interesting demonstration on wicker work was given by Alias Meyer, of Whakarongo. The report, of ‘ the group meeting wan given, by the delegate, Mrs Carne. Competitions resulted : Baby’s gown, Mrs Koeller 1, Miss; Mollor 2; baby’s jacket, Miss Terry . 1; berry posy, Mrs Brill 1, Miss Terry 2, Mrs Anderson 3;, bloom, single, Mre Whyte 1, Mrs Anderson 2, Mrs Honor 3; cluster, Mrs Richardson 1, Mrs Dymock 2, Mrs I James 3. The hostesses for next month are Mcsdamcs Terry, W. Brown, Butcher, J. Brown, Bartlett, Briefly, K. Clarke, Casey,’ Campbell, Clapham, Childs, Carne, Cuttcn, Chalk, Christie, and Chapman.
