OTTAAVA, June 4. The Prime Minister (Mr Mackenzie King), in the House of Commons, said Canadians had relieved the British troops in the AA r est Indies. Canadian destroyers were serving in British waters. Some Royal Navy ships were in Canadian waters. A fighter squadron with ’planes was proceeding to England. Of ’planes bought in England by Canada some en route , were being returned to Britain. NEAV, AIR SERVICE.
(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, June 4.' - A British air liner left a London airport this morning to inaugurate a bi-weekly British overseas airway service to Lisbon. In addition to seven passengers the aeroplane carried mail to Portugal, the United States, and Canada. The schedule for the LondouLisbott service is eight hours, with one halt at Bordeaux. FASCISTS DETAINED. Special squads of police in a series of raids detained scores more leading members of the and ’other Fascists throughout the country. The detained include organisers and prospective Fascist Parliamentary candidates. Thirty Fascists were detained in Manchester alone. RELATIONS WITH MOSCOAV. The Foreign Uncler-Secretary (Mr R. A. Butler) told the House of Commons that he hoped to l>e able to give a reply to-morrow on the subject of diplomatic representation by an Ambassador in Moscow. He replied affirmatively when asked if His Majesty’s Government was prepared to enter into fully normal relations with the Russian Government.
