/"• . V MARTON,; June 5. At the annual meeting of the Rangitikei Licensing Committee Mr R. M. Watson, S.M., presided. Others present were Messrs F. Purnell, T. E. Barton, and J. E. Walker. Applications for the renewal, transfer arid issue of publicans’ . licenses were granted. . Applications for the renewal of wholesale licenses were also granted .. . ' ' A" large number of guests attended a function when Mr and Mrs W. Griffin, of Ross Street. Marton, celebrated tbeir golden wedding. The gathering was unique in the fact that the ten children, 22 grand-chil-dren "and six great grand-children took part in the celebration. Mr and Mrs Griffin were, married at Ilalcombo on June 2. 1890. and . have resided in the Rangitikei district ever since. \ ■ ...
