PORT NOW UNUSABLE. NAZIS CLAIM ENTRY. (British Official Wireless.) Received June 5, 9.5 a.m. RUGBY, June 4. A French Admiralty communique says the last of the land and naval forces defending Dunkirk re-embarked during the night. The port has been rendered unusable. . The embarkation of the British and French Forces from Dunkirk was continued to-day, and arrivals at a southeast coast port included French officers and men who have been covering tho withdrawal of the Allied units. The French soldiers, who were' very tired but in good spirits, entrained. As in the earlier stages of the evacuation, none of the French forces withdrawn from Dunkirk were landed at other ports on the coast of France. A Press Association message says tho troops landed this morning said they were heavily shelled as they embarked. The German High Command stated: “Our troops penetrated Dunkirk and took the Louis fort in the face of desperate resistance. House-to-house fighting against the French continues.” A later communique claims the capture of Dunkirk and forty thousand Allied troops. • HOSPITAL SHIPS BOMBED. Two more hospital ships, formerly well-known cross-Channel steamers, have been bombed and machine-gunned. Both were plainly marked. There were no wounded aboard, but a 17-year-old hoy was killed by ma-chine-gun bullets. One burse was badly wounded while with other personnel she -was taking to the boats. The attacks took place on Sunday.
