When repairing electrical - apparatus at the Patutalii sub-station near Gisborne, yesterday, Samuel Wells, station operator, and Algar Octo File, a linesman, suffered severe burns and shock, File dying later in hospital. The injured men came in contact with cables carrying 50,000 volts.—Press Association.
