ATHLETIC MEETINGS.
WARTIME POLICY. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 4. . A motion that national open athletic meetings, including cross-country, be discontinued for the duration of the war was moved at a meeting of the management committee ; of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association. The chairman (Mr H. L. Austad) said the rule provided for national championships annually. The motion could not be dealt with at the meeting, but •could be given as a notice of motion and discussed at the. next meeting. Meantime the centres would be able to discuss it. / This was agreed to.
