The former New Zealand .and Wanganui cricket representative, Mr E. H. L. Beraau, has been passed as fit for service. Mr Bernau served in the last war and is commander of a company of the National Military Reserve with the rank of captain.—Press Association.- '■ • - ' Bey, G. Eastman,, a member of the London Missionary Society’s staff who has chdrge of the headquarters of the Gilbert Islands area, in the central Pacific, is visiting ; Palmerston North, and is the guest of Rev. W. M. Garner and Mrs Garner,' of Albert- Street. He is accompanied by Mrs • Eastman. Flight-Lieutenant F. N. , Clouston, who is reported to be missing following action with the Royal Air Force, resided in Napier, till about 1938; when ho went overseas to train for the R.A.F. He entered one of the Air Ministry’s elementary, schools and by August of that year lie had become'a flight-lieutenant.' About a month ago he was appointed to the. command of a flight.
