GIBRALTAR WANTED.
SPANISH AGITATION. . .. MADRID, June 1. Coinciding with the arrival of Sir Samuel Hoare a group of students demonstrated in Puerta del Sol, demanding Gibraltar for Spain. The British Embassy is heavily guarded. Spain’s leading publicist, • Manuel Aznar, in an article in the Press, said: “We want to demand Gibraltar, which Britain might just as well return to Spain, because the fortress has lost its military value as the result of the rearmament of Spain.”
