ST. PATRICK’S AND AIR FORCE. St. Patrick’s beat Air Force by the margin of a conversion, 8 points to 6, each team gaining two tries. The teams were : St. Patrick’s. —Stuart, P. Fitzpatrick, Barnes, Simmonds, Gillespie, Brinsden, Edlin,' Madgwick, O’Donnell, Whiteman, Sliuker, Ross, Powell, T. Fitzpatrick, Webb. Air Force. Calcinai, Rowlands, Black, Steele, Sargisson, Youngliusband, Sherlock, Hanna, Goode, Perry, Knights, Lawn, Drummond, Trotter, Horganf . St. Patrick’s gained a try immediately after the start, Gillespie using a ‘‘dummy” to cut out three opponj ejits and pass to Powell, who crossed ] the line. Edlin converted. Play swung ! to and fro, Simmonds finishing ono of | the St. Patrick’s thrusts with a try I when the ball was kicked right through. Powell found the distance .too great for a conversion. St. Patrick’s led B—o at half-time. At the beginning of the second spell Air Force went close and Younglnisband kicked to the corner, Steele eventually fielding the greasy ball for a try, Horgan’s kick missed. Air Force swept fill before them and this phase of play closed when Rowland tried for a field goal and gave away possession* All the backs handling, and Sargisson putting on the pace, Air Force went through to the line and Horgan scored the final try. Rowlands made a fine effort but did not convert. The final score was thus: St. Patrick’s 8, Air Force G. Mr A. Weston controlled the game.
