MANAWATU CLUB COMPETITIONS Yesterday a four-ball bogey competition was played by members of the Manawatu Golf Club in aid of the lied Cross Fund. The leading scores were: K. S. Glenclmning and B. Marsack, 4 up; A. E. Carrington and I. C. Robinson, Spring and H. Latta, G. P. Hunter and Church; P. Moran and F. Andrews, \V. T. Duckworth and A. M. Johns, square; H. G. Bagnall and J. T. Rogerson, F. King and Styce. A. G- Cliff and C. Cliff. 1 down; A. J. M. Goodwin and W. H. Hall, 2 down. Mr J. R. Galloway stated yesterday that it is hoped to screen the New Zealand Golf Council’s films in Palmerston North shortly. BUCKLEY CLUB. The June medal competition played at the Buckley Golf Club, Shannon, at the week-end was won by R. E. ,'S. Birch, his score being 83—16—67. A stroke competition was won in the A grade by D. Leng-Ward with a score of 70 net, and by E. Murrow in the B grade with 68 nett. RANGITIKEI LADIES v. OROUA . DOWNS. A team of lady golfers from Oroua Downs recently made the 'journby to Bulls and a match was played against Rangitikei in bitterly cold weather. Following are details of the games, Rangitikei players mentioned first: Mrs Hendry beat Mrs Moffat. Miss Kilgour-Carter beat Miss' Jarvis, Mrs Rdssell beat Mrs. Vcale, Mrs Scott beat Miss Pedersen, Mrs Last-Harris beat Mrs Cameron, Mrs !DA Wilson’ lost;to Mrs. Nicholls,- Miss Perrett beat Miss B.
