WOMEN’S DIVISION.
RONGOTEA BRANCH. At a mooting of the Rongotca Women s Division Airs W. Davis presided. A letter of sympathy is to bo sent to Airs Aird. senr., regretting her illness and with hopes for her 6peedy recovery. An invitation from the Women’s Institute to their birthday meeting was accepted, and Airs and Miss Simonson were appointed to attend. Mrs Davis also read a letter from the R.S.A. expressing their thanks for the help given by members of the division in their recent queen carnival. A comprehensive report of the last provincial meeting was given by Airs Foster. Airs Saxton was appointed book collector. It was decided to hold another afternoon at the cemetery in order to carry on with the renovating of the graves of the pioneers of the district. The meeting also carried the resolution to make a donation to the hospital visitor and also to the rest home. The members wore unanimous in their desire, to sew and knit for the men who are going overseas to serve their country. The hostesses, were Alesdamcs Alorcom, A. Burgess, Frcidrich, C. Lind, C. Davison and Miss H. Davis. Another very interesting first aid lecture was given by Airs Rowe. ■
