PERSONAL. Mr and Mrs C. C. Smyth have returned from a holiday spent at Whangaparoa, North Auckland. Mrs W. J. Smith returned recently from a holiday spent with her sister, Mrs J. Wcdd, of Hastings. RED CROSS APPEAL. Pahiatua contributions io the Sick, Wounded and Distressed Fund Appeal now total £2404 12s. FROSTS EXPERIENCED, A frost of nine degrees was registered at the Pahiatua observatory yesterday morning by Mr A. W. Hamilton. Oil Wednesday night, eight degrees were recorded. MORE RECRUITS.
