PLUNKET SOCIETY
MONTHLY MEETING. At the monthly meeting of the Feilding branch of the Plunket Society, Mrs A. C: AJcCorkindale presided. The nurse reported that there were 18 new babies in town this month. Visits to the rooms in April were 275 adults, 269 babies and 'ls children. Aliss Fitzgibbon, from Dunedin headquarters, recently visited the rooms for the purpose of weighing and measuring the babies, it was reported. She was very pleased with the health and bonny condition of the babies seen and with the ready response of . the mothers in bringing their babies to the rooms. The very attractive weighing scales which have been in use at the Plunket rooms at the. Exhibition have been purchased by the Feilding society. To help defray the_ expenses of . these scales, bridge evenings are being held. The first evening, organised by Airs Carrick, was most successful. It was decided to organise a table-setting competition to be held in June. Two classes were agreed upon: A, for organisations; and B, for individuals. The annual balance-sheet and report were placed before the meeting for approval.
