Wrestling enthusiasts in Palmerston North and the surrounding districts will be pleased to learn of the two professional bouts arranged by the Palmerston .North Wrestling Association for Thursday night. The main bout will be one between John Katan, who on Monday came within an ace of lifting the British Empire championship crown from the head of Earl . McOready, and Dan 0 Connor, the rugged Irish-American. Doth contestants have a large; number of holds in their respective repertoires, moat of which are as spectacular as they are devastating. The preliminary professional bout will be a lightweight contest between Bert Monastra and Colin Croskery, who, when they met in Wellington on Monday before the championship bout, thrilled the crowded house with an exhibition of wrestling, packed with action. Special amateur bouts have also been airanged foi; Thursday night.
