FRENCH IN NORWAY.
LANDING AT BJERKVIK. LONDON, May 14. French troops landed at Bjerkivk, seven miles north of Narvik, under cover of naval guns and stormed the snowclad heights, despite machine-gun and rifle fire. French tanks were landed and the Royal Navy supported the attack from the right.’ Machinegun nests in the ruined town were systematically blotted out. It is reported from Gothenburg without confirmation that German troops are concentrating on the southern part of the Swedish-Norwcgiau frontier.
