RANGIOTU.
(From Our. Own Correspondent;) RANGIOTU, May 13. The annual meeting of the 'RangiotuOroua Downs Bobby Calf Pool was hold at Rangiotu. The meeting was well attended and Mr W. 11. Girnblett presided. The chairman stated that the operations of the new co-operative organisation had been most satisfactory in every way, resulting in a much higher price being received for this side of the farmers’ business and showing conclusively what could be done by co-operation; Mr Hastings detailed the balance-sheet as supplied to every supplier and the methods of operation. Mr W. 11. Barber spoke as a director of the agency pointing out the benefit producers -would receive by continuing to supply their own company. - All the members of the old committee were returned, vVith power to add one to replace the late Mr Doyle, whose service was' much appreciated. The secretary was in, structed to. convey a motion of sympathy to the relatives of the late Mr Doyle. The disposal of tho calves for the coining season will; be in the hands of the pools’, federation. A resolution was passed unanimously that payment in the future should be by monthly cheque. Mrs D. Wilkinson is the guest of Mrs 11. 12. Robinson, of Hamilton. ■ Miss K 1 Dixon is spending a holiday at Tauranga. Mrs J- Fawcett is visiting Mr and Mrs L. P. Fawcett. Mrs J. Ware has return- 1 cd from a holiday spent ill Wellington. Mrs-If. Monteith, who has been staying with Mrs J. Dixon, has returned to Waipukurau.
