ADMIRAL BYRD PEEVED
NEW YORK, May 14. Rear-Admiral Byrd has arrived from Valparaiso. He said he did not know when or whether lie was rejoining the Antarctic expedition. He said he was grieved to learri of the Congressional criticism. “I have not made a single cent from this, my third Antarctic expedition, which I undertook at the Government’s request,” he said. “I am back because I was ordered back.”
