SUCCESS IN BIG FIELD.
' KHURJA'S RANGITANE PLATE. IChurja had a good win. in a big field in the Rangitane Plato, gaining the decision by a head from Valiant Lady. The winner started well and had a good run throughout. Silver Shekel and Khurja woro in front with half a mile to go, with Valiant Lady, China Clipper and Queen close up. Turning into the straight the lenders were Khurja, Silver Shekel, Valiant Lady and I/>yal Queen. The last-named failed in the run home, but Valiant Lady got within a head of Khurja. Next were Silver Shekel, Cherry Hunter, Amyas Leigh and Ora Iti.
