STUD PIG SALE.

SUCCESSFUL MANAWATU FIXTURE A large and representative bcncii of buyers were in attendance at the annual sale of Large Black and Largo White pigs hold on account of Mr G. M. Whitelccfc, owner of the “Grinlon” Stud, Palmerston North, and the annual draft of Largo While pigs on account of Mr 13. E. Keillor. “Tutnanuko,” Palmerston North. Local competition was strong, but buyers were also active from the . Wairarapa, Taranaki, lla\vkc ! s Bay, Waikato, Auckland and Marlborough districts, while the top priced Large White sow was purchased for a Victorian client at 36gns. 'J he pig®, which wcio brought forward in splendid condition, were a highly-bred lot, and several lots wore of pure imported blood. Blacks, which averaged a shade under 9j rrns., was conducted by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd. L,ar"e Black sows in farrow averaged 18gns. '1 he sale of Large Whites, which averaged almost llgns, was conducted by Wright, Stephenson and Co., I/td., in conjunction with Abraham and Williams, Lid.
