The City Band, held a dance on Saturday night, when. a large attendance and good music combined to make, .for a very pleasant evening. The , unusual method of staging the broom waltz gave rise to some amusing situations and proved very popular. The Gay G ordons prizes went to Mrs Andrews and Mr.'-Prouse';' Mr Young won a special prize; and the winning couple, in the Monte. Carlo were Miss Norton and Mr Dalby.- ;
