PUBLIC ACCOUNTS.
SURPLUS PROMISED. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, May 14. “All I can tell you is there will be a surplus on the year’s working.” said the Minister of Finance (Hon. W. Nash) when asked if the national accounts at the end of the financial year .were available. Mr Nash said he had hoped the returns would Have been available for announcement while he was in Auckland, hut they had not returned from the Government Audit Office.
