AIR FOOT CASUALTIES.

PILOT-OFFICER McKENZIE. FORMERLY AT, PALMERSTON NORTH. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, May 14. Pilot-Officer John Douglas Bruorton McKenzie, a son of Mr and Mrs Thomas McKenzie, of Dean’s Avenue, Riccarton, is reported missing following air operations on May 11. PilotOfficer McKenzie joined the Air Force in 1937. He took up engineering and was with the East Coast Airways at Gisborne until it closed down. Later, lie joined Union Airways at Palmerston North and then Cook Strait Airways at Nelson. Later, he joined the Air Force. He continued his engineering training at the Do Havilland factory.
