The Admiralty announces that Germany lost 31 merchantmen totalling 171,049 tons in the week ended May 12. These included 26 vessels seized in the Dutch East Indies., Germany’s total shipping- losses during- the war almost equal the British. The British losses were one ship of GOOD tons. The Allies and neutrals lost none. . . British submarines have this month sunk at least nine 'more German transports and supply, sh'ps south from Norway and have' also chased ashore, a supply ship which H.M.S. Trident shelled. ■; .
