DUTCH ROYAL FAMILY.
ARRIVAL IN LONDON. QUEEN’S SAD MIEN. Received Mav 14. 11.30 a.m. LONDON, May; 13. The King met Queen Wilhelmina of Holland on her arrival at the Liverpool Street station to-da.v. Princess Juliana and her husband, Prince Bernhard of Lippe-Biesterfeld, accompanied by tlieir two daughters, earlier arrived in London. Prince Beruliard is returning as soon as possible. Queen Wilhelmina, who came to England in "a warship, looked sad and forlorn as she stepped from the train. The King shook her hand and then kissed Queen Wilhelmina on both cheeks. Princess Juliana and Prince Bernhard greeted her affectionately. Qrfcon Wilhelmina talked to the King in' French for five minutes and then journeyed to the Palace in the Roval car. There was no ceremony. It is officially stated in connection with Queen Willielmina’s arrival: “It' is of paramount importance that even if the worst should happen, of which fortunately there is at present no indication, that Jhe Royal House of Orange and Nassau should be safe.” - (From Daventrv.) The Dutch C.omnvander-in-Cliief has announced that, in order to retaiii freedom of action, the Government has transferred its seat elsewhere, but the locality is not disclosed. A report that the Government has been shifted to London is not confirmed. It is announced -that Queen Willielmina loft Holland because reports had reached the Cabinet of German intentions to bomb the Royal residence. Her Majesty deemed it .best for the safety of tlie country that she should accept the British Royal Family’s offer of hospitality.
