DEATH IN CELLS.

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Mav 12. Arrested on Saturday night, a middle-aged man, William Evans, was found dead in the cells in the Taranaki Street police station early this morning. After his arrest he was visited frequently by the constable on duty and at 3 a.m. was found dead. A doctor expressed the opinion that death had occurred about an hour previously.
