(From Our Own Correspondent.) SAXSOX, May. 11. The local branch of the . Labour' Party hold a card evening, when the winners wore Mrs G. W. Richardson, and while Miss Merle Richardson (consolation), arid Mr A. S. Reeve (after a play off with Mr T. Hill). The winner of the cribbage wiis Mr R. Moyer. The monthly meeting of the branch was held last evening l at the residence of Mr A. Hope. Air D. C. Sanson was in the chair. Mr Sanson gave a full report of the last ' meeting of the Labour Representation Council. Miss At. Coulter, who has ' been attending the Training. College in Christchurch, is spending the vacation with her mother, Mrs I. R. Coulter. Miss V. Ross, of Invercargill, is the guest of Mrs Coulter. Airs J. Currie is on holiday, in Auckland.
