UNDEFENDED ACTIONS. Undefended divorce actions were dealt witli by the Chief Justice, lit. lion. Sir Michael Myers, in tho Supreme Court yesterday. Ivy .Winifred Hcmmingscn, of Shannon (Mr G. Rowe, instructed by Mr H. G. Lovell) a-sked for a divorce from Geoffrey Francis Hcmmingsen, a labourer, of Wellington. Petitioner stated that a separation order made in 192 G had been complied with. A decree nisi was granted. Phyllis Myrtle Thompson, of Palmerston North (Mr J. M. Gordon) petitioned lor divorce from Ronald Vivian Thompson, of Levin, stating that a separation order made in December, 193 G, had. lieen complied with. A decree nisi was granted, custody being granted petitioner of one of the two children of the marriage. \ On the ground of non-compliance by respondent with an order for the restitution of conjugal rights, a decree nisi was granted Norman Olaff Anderson. of Shannon (Mr J. M. Gordon) against Eunice May Anderson (Palmerston North). On the ground of separation /Margaret Irene Birkinshaw, of Tangimoann (Mr G. I. McGregor) petitioned for divorce from Edison Montague Birkinshaw, cinema operator, of Palmerston North. A decree nisi was granted, the custody of the three children of the marriage being awarded to petitioner. Desertion was advanced as tho ground by Arthur Edward Butler, a labourer.'of Feilding (Mr J. Power) in his petition for a divorce from Gladys Margaret Butler. Petitioner stated respondent left him in 1935 and did not return. A decree nisi was granted, custody of a child being granted-petitioner. Lilian Frances. T\ ate Martin,: \of Palmerston North (Air L. G. FT- Sinclair). petitioned for a divorce from Arthur Martin, labourer, of Palmerston North, stating thev had separated in March, 1930. A decree nisi was granted. Decrees absolute were granted in the following eases: Mrs Mavis Carter, of Sanson (Air A. AL Onglev) v. John Carter, labourer, of Bulls; Afrs Bertha Sophia Doney. of Eketahuna (Mr Onglcy) v. Percival Rav Donev. draper, of Greytown; Olivo Emily Thompson, of’Palmerston North (Air G. Crossley, on behalf of AD’ H. R. Conner) v. Stanley Ernest Thompson,’ fruit vendor, of Auckland.
