On receipt in New Zealand of the news of the German invasion of Holland, Belgium and Luxembourg, members of tlie Cabinet assembled at 8 o’clock this evening, and on the invitation of the Prime Alinister (Hon. P. Fraser) met AI. Armaude Nihotte (Consul for Belgium and Luxembourg) and Air Vigeveno (acting-Consul for the Netherlands) and discussed the situation with them. The Prime Alinister expressed to the consuls the sympathy of- the Government and the people of New Zealand and assured them of the fullest cooperation in what is now a common cause."
