JUNKERS ATTACKED.

(British Official Wireless.) , RUGBY, May 9. A German Junkers 88 aircraft was attacked by a Fighter Command Hurricane aircraft off the east coast of England early on Thursday afternoon. The British fighter was on patrol when the pilot saw the Junkers 9000 ft above him, and immediately climbed to the attack. The enemy aircraft dived steeply, making rapid turns, ( but the pursuer was able to let off a sustained burst of fire. Black smoke was seen pouring from both engines of the Junkers before it fled out to sea.
