Drains had been cleaned, also channels and paths. The filter bed at the reservoir intake had been cleaned. Both reservoirs were full and holding that level without the use of the pump.—The Mayor commented that the foreman’s report gave cause for satisfaction, much useful and necessary work' having been done during tlie month. The report of the gasworks and lighting committee stated that the committee bad met and considered estimates for 1940-41.
