GREAT ACHIEVEMENT.
PRODUCTION.'IN FRANCE. (British Official Wireless.) Received May 10, 11.50 a.rii. RUGBY, May 9 111 a tribute to the French Mini.stei of Production (M. D’Autry) the British Minister of Supply (Dr E. L; Burgin), in a speech at Cardiff, said M. D’Autry had achieved in France Spectacular results in the enormous growth and expansion of his armaments programme. “He thinks in multiples. He works at a terrific pace. He has a great faculty - for making friends. He is idolised by the work people and, what is so important for a politician and Minister of Production, he is left alone by his colleagues,” said Dr liurgin. “But he, too, has his difficulties with machine tools, with raw mateiials, and with skilled labour. Fortunately, such is the collaboration between the two countries that wo can frequently come to each other’s aid.”
