KAIRANGA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) ICAIRANGA/ May 8. The first meeting of the newly-elected School Committee was held last night. Present : Messrs 0. Colli-s (chairman), G. Collis (secretary), A. Divelnill, L. Clerk and the head teacher (Mr F. Cummins). Requirements were left in the hands of the head teacher. Yesterday a “working bee” commenced work on several improvements in tho grounds. Mr a.iid Mis 11. Olsen, of Waitotara, Mrs 11. Olsen and family, of Remuera, and Mr S. Ross, of Opunake, have returned homo after licing the guests of Mr and Mrs N. Cooper. Mr and Mrs. G. Davey, accompanied by Misses Davey, are spending a few days in Wanganui.
