CITIZENS WARNED. Received May 9, 11.5 a.m. WASHINGTON, May 8. The Secretary for State (Mr Cordell Hull)-said diplomatic dispatches from the Netherlands indicated a great degree of tension, but no definite military moves. Mr Hull added: “In view of a second evacuation warning that United States diplomats have issued to American citizens of Balkan and Danubian countries, there will be no excuse for their becoming trapped in the area should the war suddenly strike there.”
