The Geraldine-Fairlie highway i« blocked as the result of the washing away of the Skirton bridge, and considerable damage is reported in other parts of Geraldine County. The approaches to several bridges are washed away and replacement will cost thou- * sands of pounds. The Main South Road is blocked as the result of the washing away of the north approach to the Waihao bridge. There are two detours, and both of these are flocked.
