PIANO GROUP.
BRITISH MUSIC SOCIETY. The members of the piano group of the Palmerston North branch of the British Music Society met in Miss Rawlin’s studio on Tuesday. The room was decorated with autumn leaves and chrysanthemums. The following contributed to the 1 programme : ■ —Mr E. H. Radford. Brahms’s “Intermezzo,” Op. 118, No. 2; Miss L. Cronin, “Novelette” (Schumann); Mrs J. C. Riddle and Miss L. Buick, duet, “Spanische Tanze” No. 3 (Moszwokski); Miss F. Revere, “Ballade in G Minor” (Chopin); Miss M. Carey, two Spanish dances (Cervantes); Miss Buick, “Reftet dans l’eau” (Debussy) ; Miss Revere, “Etude in E Major (Chopin); Mrs -G. Stevens and Miss Buick, duo, “Hark! Hark! The Lark” (Schubert-Liszt). A vote of thanks was accorded Miss Rawlins for the use of her studio, on the motion of the group leader (Miss Buick).
