A RECIPE.
ITALIAN CASSEROLE. Take lib. stewing, steak, 1 small tin tomatoes, 1 carrot, 1 onion, 1 tablespoon flour, 2oz spaghetti, seasoning. Wipe 'the steak and cut it into neat pieces. Alix it with the-flour, adding pepper and salt to taste, and put it into a casserole. Strain the liquid from the tomatoes and add it to the steak. Cover the casserole. Bring the meat to the boil, then let it simmer until it is" tender. Add the diced carrot and onion. Cook the spaghetti in slightly salted boiling water, strain it, and add it toe. the stew, with the drained tomatoes, about half an hour before it is ready to be served. Sufficient for four.persons.
