OVERDUE LAUNCH.

TOWED BACK TO FOXTON. Per Press Association.

FOXTON, May 8. The Foxton pilot launch, under the command of Captain Bald, with Captain Thomsen, of the scow Huanui, left Manawatu Heads at 7 o’clock last night to meet the launch Madge, which had been missing since Ffiday with three men on hoard and had been sighted during the clay by the Hokitika, seven miles south of the Heads. The Madge was towed into port with the occupants little the worse for their experience. It had been off Waitarere since Friday afternoon, when the gearbox gave out.
