ASHHURST

(From Our Own Correspondent;) ASIIHUHST, May 6. There was a large attendance of members at the annual meeting of the Ashhurst Methodist Cadies’ Guild. The president extended a welcome to llcv. It. Hichards, who has been away on aide leave. Onicers for the coming year arc: President, Mrs A. Currie; vioo-presidents, Mesdamcs oh^ w and Flowers; secretary amt treasurer, Mrs \V. Brewer; guilt! representative at quarterly meeting, Mrs W. J’eek; auxiliary secretary, Mrs Woodroofe; organist, Mrs Maulc; assistant, Mrs Anion. The balancesheet was presented, showing a year of goo.l work and leaving a credit balance of £25 10s. Arrangements were, made for the coming church anniversary. It was decided to hold a social in place of the usual tpa gathering. Members were reminded that at the next meeting,articles of clothing would be received for distribution among the Maoris. Afternoon tea was served by Mcsdames Baton, Woodroofe and Flowers.
