HOLIDAY IN WARTIME.

NEWSPAPER’S CRITICISM,

(British Official Wireless.) Received May 7, 10.57 a.m. RUGBY, May 6,

The Daily Mail says: “Half of our productive machinery works only one shift daily for lack of skilled hands. This is not a one-shift or a two-shift war. It is a three-shift war demanding every ounce of our energy and every minute of our time, yet many armament factories and aircraft works, including the AVoolwicli Arsenal, are closing on May 13 for the AVhitsun holiday. “Britain is taking a day off from tlie job of fighting for her life. AVell may her friends despair and her enemies rejoice.”
