LOSS TO FRENCH.

TWELVE-YEAR-OLD DESTROYER

(From Daventry.)

The French Admiralty report that they have lost a destroyer under circumstances similar to that in which the Afridi was destroyed. The destroyer .was attacked by a bomber, while convoying two transports across the North Sea. The vessel, which was 12 years’ old and was of 2400 tons, carried a complement of 209, of whom a large part were saved.
