lit. Rev. L. S. Kemptliornc (Anglican Bishop in Polynesia) has left Auckland for Nukualofa.
Having completed 20 years’ service, Mr F. Coyle, officer in charge, Government Buildings, Wellington, and inspector of general messenger services for the Dominion, has retired on superannuation. He first served on the staff of the late Sir Joseph Ward, and was later attached to the office of Sir James Allen.
Colonel C. 11. Weston, ICC.. D. 5.0., has resigned the position of honorary Consul tor the Netherlands in New Zealand, and, in recognition of his services in that capacity, the Order of the Knighthood of Orange Nassau has‘been conferred upon him by the Queen of the Netherlands. For valuable service rendered, the Gold Medal of. the Order of Orange Nassau has been bestowed by Her Majesty upon Mr A. J. Fernie, who, for more than 25 years, acted as secretary of the Netherlands Consulate in Wellington.
