HERD IMPROVEMENT.
DISTRICT YIELDS. The Wellington-Hawke’s Bay Herd Improvement Association reports having tested 31,210 cows in April, and the average cow produced 4511 b milk of 5.5 average test, yielding 24.83 lb butterfat. ' The highest group in the association was that of Makirikiri-Okoia, wherein '398 cows averaged 351 b butterfat. The highest herd in the association was one of eight cows which averaged 441 b fat, and the highest cow in the association produced 901 b butterfat for the 30-day period. •The following arc the local group figures for the month of April r Highest HighGroup Herd est Average.
