MOTOR FATALITIES.

Three persons lost their lives in motor accidents at the week-end. Miss Lilian Hay Forbes, aged 60, of Tai Tapu, died after being struck by a motor-car at Christchurch on Saturday evening. Mr Donald MacKenzie, aged 26; a married man with two children, of Makarewa (Southland), was killed instantaneously when he was thrown, from a motor-cycle. His brother-in-law, Mr Thomas Gray, who was riding pillion. was admitted to hospital' with head injuries. A widower, Mr John James Flynrn aged Go,, a resident of .Hastings, received fatal injuries on Saturday night when lie was run over by a motor truck. An eye-witness stated that Mr Flynn had fallen from a bicycle and was lying bn the road when the vehicle ran over him. ' Mr Stephen Whittingham, an elderly resident of Napier, sustained serious injuries when he was struck bv n motor car on Saturday evening.
