CHILDREN’S PARTY.

■Mr and Mrs F. W. Cowing gave a very happy party on Saturday afternoon for.the eripnled children. Rachel Rickahy, Jean Algar, Patricia Mayo and Michael Nansett and Richard Salisbury proudly held Union Jacks while all sang the National Anthem. Olivo McEwen sat in the lucky chair, and Lois King won the walking stick game. Miss Page delighted the children with her clever dog Peter and they asked for more and more tricks, which Peter was quite willing to give. Mr King helped with games and also gave pleasure with his ventrilpquial dolls, and many others contributed to a very-full programme. Mrs D. Watson and Mr Blade kindly assisted in the transporting of the children.
