JOURNALISTS PROTEST.

NEWS CONTROL SYSTEM. correspondents leave FRANCE. ' Received May 4, 12.55 p.ni. LONDON, May 3. All English and American war correspondents at R.A.F. Headquarters in France walked out and came to London as a protest against the proposed new method ot the release of news from the R.A.F. on the Western Front under which officials of the Air Ministry compile all the bulletins and forbid correspondents to visit aerodromes, interview pilots, or send eyewitness dispatches. The correspondents complained that the system would destroy the effectiveness and objectivity of the coverage of the war. The Association of Oversea Empire Correspondents has sent a letter to Mr Chamberlain and other Ministers, also the High Commissioners, strongly protesting against the service departments’ censorship activities. The association expressed deep resentment at the order that 1 all coment and speculations on the military operations in Norway, even political criticism of the Government relating to the general handling of the Norwegian campaign, should not pass the cable offices without reference to the Ministry of Information.
